For us accessibility isn't a feature, it's the job.
An app made for disabled people has to be an app everyone can use. We're not there yet, and this page says plainly where we stand.

This website
We built this site aiming for WCAG 2.2 level AA. It has not been independently audited; the points below come from our own checks.
- Full keyboard useEvery link and control is reachable with Tab, focus is always visible, and each page starts with a "Skip to content" link.
- Screen-reader friendly structureHeadings, landmarks and page language are defined, and informative images have text alternatives.
- Readable textSufficient contrast between text and background; at 200% zoom nothing is lost and no horizontal scrolling is needed.
- Light and dark themesThe site follows your device's theme preference automatically.
- Reduced motionIf "reduce motion" is on, transitions are switched off. Nothing plays video or audio automatically.
- No trackingThis site has no advertising or analytics trackers and sets no cookies. Only your language choice is stored in your browser.
The app
JustDisabled runs on iOS and Android. Today the app offers:
- 21 languages. Change it under Settings › App Languages or from the sign-in screen.
- Sign-in without passwords. You sign in with Apple or Google; there is no password or code to remember.
- Several ways to communicate. Text, photos, video and video calls, whichever suits you.
- Large touch targets. The main actions (like, pass, tabs) use generous buttons.
Known gaps
We know about these and are working on them. We'd rather publish the list than hide it:
- Screen-reader support is incomplete. With VoiceOver and TalkBack, some buttons and images have missing or poor labels; the whole app is not yet comfortable to use with a screen reader.
- No dark theme. For now the app ships with a light theme only.
- Large text sizes. With the system text size increased, text may overflow on some screens.
- No text alternatives for photos. Members can't yet add descriptions to the photos they share.
- No captions in live streams or video calls.
- Map. The map screen is largely visual; the same people can also be reached through search and explore.
Our principles
Nothing about us without us
On accessibility decisions, the people who live with that barrier are heard first.
Never forcing one way
There should be more than one way to do a thing: by touch, by typing, by speaking.
Not hiding gaps
If something doesn't work, we say so. When we fix it, we update this page.
Plain language
Short sentences and clear button names, in the app and on this site.
If you hit a barrier, tell us
Telling us which screen, which device and assistive technology, and what you were trying to do helps us find the problem faster.
